The thumb lever is used for easy manual advancing of print wheels. With it, for example, the day and month wheels of a date stamp are advanced. The thumb lever is also used on numberers when irregular numbering is required.

Text plates are used for imprinting fixed texts. They are usually made of brass. The brass plates are engraved. The text plate sizes depend on the stamp models. As a rule, all text plates have a breakthrough for the wheel set, so that the fixed texts can be combined with date print or consecutive number.
