The locking can lock the stamp in two positions. In the upper position the stamp is locked so that the ink pad is slightly swivelled away from the wheel set and is in the rest position (separation of the ink pad from the print wheels) which allows in the lower position to exchange the ink pad and the readjustment of the wheel set. The locking is integrated in the wheel cover on some models.
