The Würth logistics centre in the Bulgarian capital city of Sofia handles bulk goods packages with newly produced small parts. After they are re portioned into commercial package sizes there, products like screws or nuts must be marked precisely in order to send them to the respective trade partner correctly and without delay. Having stationary printers produce the respective adhesive labels was quite error-prone. The resulting issues have now been remedied by introducing the mobile inkjet printer jetStamp® 1025 from marking specialist REINER®. The marking device offers just the right special features to simplify the processes at the Würth logistics centre. In addition to getting rid of impractical adhesive labels, the flexible jetStamp® 1025 is used just where it is needed: right where goods are being packaged.
Mobile, ERP compatible, economically efficient and sustainable
The jetStamp® 1025 has noticeably improved efficiency since its acquisition. One battery charge lasts for up to 1,000 imprints. It can print on various surfaces. While it is only used for cardboard at the moment, plastic canisters and enamel-painted metal barrels are soon to be added to its workload. A print speed of less than 0.9 s/imprint highlights the efficiency of the practical jetStamp® 1025 marking device. The inkjet printer is also connected to the internal Dynamics ERP system, which ensures that all components are available the right amounts, at the right place and at the right time.
