FAQ

What does EF mean in the designation?
EF stands for “Egg Food”—i.e., ink that is specifically approved for contact with food, especially for egg marking.
In which areas is the cartridge used?
Mainly in egg production, direct marketing, food packaging and retail.
How long does a cartridge set last?
This depends on the print volume – with standard layouts, one cartridge is sufficient for several thousand prints.
Is the ink safe for human health?
Yes. EF ink (Egg Food) is specially approved for use on eggs and other foods.
Can I change the cartridge myself?
Yes. The cartridge can be changed in just a few seconds without any additional tools.
Is RD ink different from the AUB version?
Yes – both are food-safe, but differ in color shade and composition. RD is usually lighter and more vibrant in appearance. We recommend the AUB cartridge for brown eggs and the RD cartridge for white eggs.
Is there a best-before date?
Yes, as with any ink – the date is printed on the packaging. The cartridges should be stored in a cool, dry place.
