FAQ
What does EF mean in the designation?
EF stands for “Egg Food”—i.e., ink that is specifically approved for contact with food, especially for egg marking.
In which areas is the cartridge used?
Mainly in egg production, direct marketing, food packaging and retail.
Is there a best-before date?
Yes, as with any ink – the date is printed on the packaging. The cartridges should be stored in a cool, dry place.
How long does a cartridge set last?
This depends on the print volume – with standard layouts, one cartridge is sufficient for several thousand prints.
Is the ink safe for human health?
Yes. EF ink (Egg Food) is specially approved for use on eggs and other foods.
Can I change the cartridge myself?
Yes. The cartridge can be changed in just a few seconds without any additional tools.
How does the AUB cartridge differ from the RD version?
The AUB cartridge uses a darker shade of red with a different formula – both are food-safe, but can be used differently depending on the desired shade. We recommend the AUB cartridge for brown eggs and the RD cartridge for white eggs.
